Minnesota Nice

i feel like i don't really have anything intersting to say....so i'll just throw up some words and random thoughts...

i hate to say it...but i can't wait till it's hot here...i want to be in the sun...i want to be tan...and i want my hair to get lighter...

71 days till i'm mrs. strand

i'm wearing my wedding shoes again today...i like them now, and have successfully broken them in so i can party all night long...

i actually enjoy working out...although i hate when the gym is packed and there are no treadmills open...i did the stairs thingy at the gym the other day and never thought i would feel as though i could not make it up another step....holy crap that was hard...i think i conquered like 60 floors though...

that is all...i told you i had nothing to say

aloha from tony & shelly...this Sunday our church threw us a surprise engagement party (with a hawaiin theme obvioulsy)....and they revealed that they raised money and bought us a honeymoon in hawaii...waikiki beach here we come!!!

yesterday's day off was brought to you by "Franks & Beans"...

yesterday tony and i went to the beach to have a fun day off and picnic...we decided to rent bikes and cruise down the bike path from santa monica to venice beach...needless to say, tony was a little rusty on a bike...he kept swerving and i made the mistake of making the comment that he looked retarded....so he decided that is just what he will be....tony proceeded to act like my retarded kid swerving all over, making a face that made him look like he had 3 chins, and repeating the words "franks & beans" (a la something about mary)...so that everyone within a mile could hear....i was beat-red as people looked and laughed...i have to admit it was quite funny..but i was a little embarassed needless to say...

also yesterday this lady came up to us while we eating lunch, and in a very robotic-i-have-alzeihmers-but-am-not-homeless-voice says, "i'm hungry, will you feed me." i just stared at her and tony goes...."wanna cookie"....as i continued to stare at her, and as she continued to stare at tony, i handed her a cookie...as she walked away, i wanted to tell her that the cookie was a sugar-free-atkins cookie and would probably give her gas...but i was still a little weirded out and speechless...

currently....

wearing my new glasses...i picked up some drug store reading glasses and they have made all the difference with headaches sitting at my computer

listening to a worship mix...but had to laugh cause the phrase "you're my all, you're the best" cheesily was just sung....some of you know what song i'm talking about...(an otherwise good worship song..but they just couldn't come up with anything else to rhyme with righteousness)

taking a break from work....i am actually getting a lot done..so i'm taking a well-deserved blog break

waiting for kt to call me back, so we can chat wedding flowers...i think she forgot..i called her at 11:24..it is now 1:52...ahhah

hearing a dog scream bloody murder at the grooming place across the parking lot

enjoying the 75 degree weather with the door propped wide open at the office

looking forward to hanging out with the twin tonight...there may be a highly coveted game of trivia pursuit in the mix...

breaking in my wedding shoes...however, i dont think i will go with these...they kill...and this is the 3rd time i've given them a chance...i think i may go with something less tall, uncomfortable, and slip-on...

noticing my hair has gotten freakishly long...i guess that's what happens when the only hair cut you get in cali was in the first month you moved here (in 2003) at a place wrongly named "great clips"...making me never want to cut my hair again...

needing to get back to work...

i spoke too soon...i just trashed talked heather about the snow in New York, making her feel bad about moving from cali....well the weather wasn't all that great yesterday. IT HAILED. it was creepy, thunder & lightning and everything....wouldn't think much of it back in IL...but in cali...what the heck....people were freaking out here...i heard a grown man say he had never seen this before in his life...
