Shelly's blogging????!!!!!??

I can't believe summer is underway already....my first year of teaching flew by and was a blast...now into my first summer break....but not really a vacation. I got a job serving at Macaroni Grill again...so that will be fun, and a job to carry into next school year.

Tony and I just celebrated our 2 year anniversary. We spent the weekend camping at Gooseberry Falls, a sweet campsite up on Lake Superior....here are some picture highlights...

Our campsite was awesome...we compared it to all the rest and ours was the biggest and up on a small hill, so the tiny rain/tornado storm we got on Thursday did not hinder us one bit...(disregard the broken headlight on our car :)
Gotta love a campfire first thing in the morning. After a storm Thursday, the rest of our weekend was absolutely perfect. The air is crisp and cool up north and it was sunny all day....
Lake Superior on Friday Morning...

Tony's sis Stacy and husband Tim joined us on Friday night for the weekend. Tim is wearing his 40th bday present from us.....who doesn't need a beer helmet....although the sticker on the helmet said "not be used with hot or alcoholic beverages" (Stacy looks wasted, but it's just from the flash)....notice our closed eyed picture below.

Saturday, we hiked up to the falls....3 different levels of falls...lower, middle, and upper...they were aweseome...

Stacy is trying to drink the falls.....
Tony widdled me a walking stick...i was gimping around all weekend with a sprained big toe, so I needed the support...always an injury with me...

Tony posing in a cave we found.....notice his hat and shoes are relfective in case we couldn't locate him in the dark cave....

Hiking back from the falls to our campsite...if you look b/w the trees you can see the falls...

I can't talk about our camping weekend without mentioning our friends that joined us. This is Chucky, our woodchuck friend...he got really close, quite often, he had no fear, and he had a big scar on his back to prove it. He had a little woodchuck family that lived by the outhouse...

This is Pecker, our seagull friend, he also hung out at camp. And, we had a little chipmunk friend named Alvin who tried to eat our Special K bars...he was a little too fast for pictures...

Our weekend was perfect and beautiful and awesome....now we are home and everything still smells of campfire.....and I love my husband more after 2 years of marriage than the day I first met him.......
