home sweet ghetto...
in a month i will soon move into the apt where tony and scott now reside. let's just say the 'hood is diverse and very interesting...let me he highlight some of it's "perks"
-the other day i went out to my car and saw a young black man appropriately in his "wife beater" tank top, swinging punches at his girlfriend while she sat in the passenger seat screaming and kicking, i was scared so i went up and got tony...
-there is another young black man...completely harmless....his name is "marvin"...he has autism...he is funny..he always asks for money...but in weird amounts...like.."hey can i get 35 cents.."....he thinks tony's name is tony butterbean....well, he thinks that cause tony told him that:) and marvin always asks for definitions of words....and also digs in the dumpster....
-there is a white woman downstairs who shouts from the parking lot to her kid all the time.."hey, bring me my keys.." "hey, bring me my smokes..." she doesnt really nurture her kids...
-there is another lady who has a day care in her tiny little apartment yard...tony watches her be mean to the kids...and he has even thought about telling the parents when they come pick up their kids...
even though the 'hood is sometimes scary..i fear not....for one, i have tony...for two, we have "robert"....
Robert is total gangsta, big black man, drives a caddy, wears bling, stands in front of his apartment and drinks corona's...
well, robert is our friend, back when tony drove a tow truck, he happened to tow robert's caddy for him...and now they are bff! we see robert out driving around occasionally, and he always gives us the friendly nod...while bumpin' to his music...
the other day tony chatted it up with him over a corona (right after we saw the guy beating up his girlf)...big rob told tony he was getting his caddy painted "pearl purple", and that he was getting some of his "bling" melted down to have some gold teef...no lie...he even pointed to certain pieces of jewelry and told tony which tooth it would cap...
life in the 'hood is safe with robert...he's got our backs...tony told robert that i felt safe knowing he would step in for me if I needed him...robert responded with..."hell yah...I'd step in shootin'..."
so it's nice to know that i'm worth a little gunfire....
aww...home sweet ghetto...
feel free to visit us any time :)

Girl, you know I'll still come visit. I survived the ghetto when we had our dance party! You know I'll fit in as well as you with our whitey-white skin and blonde hair. Can't wait to see you!
